Elizabeth

Saw that the WOD was a 15k and decided umm no. So I did the alternate workout "Elizabeth." I cleaned 31lbs and did box dips in 5:40ish minutes. It was quiet this morning. I'm wondering how many people ran 15k...Michelle? Nat? Jen? See ya'll after the rest day ;-)

10 rounds of 10

Today I did the 10 rounds of 10 push ups (girly), sit ups, and squats. I think I completed it in 13:26. I was hoping to finish before Jon finished Helen but no such luck. It took a lot longer than originally thought....same with my work out yesterday....interesting. On a side note, I had a migraine yesterday and tried the rubbing the peppermint oil on my temples that Dymphna gave me and it worked well for a little while. I rubbed it on a couple times and it seemed to do the trick. What a great little magical oil! Hope everyone had good workouts today.

Too Hot

It was so hot today. I was boiling in the gym and trying to stay hydrated. I did manage to work out. I found a workout online that I wanted to try: 3 rounds of 500m row, 15 wall balls(about 8lbs), one armed KBswings-15 each arm, and 15 pull ups (jumping). It took me longer than I want to admit to do the workout with all my water breaks.

Getting Muscles


So yesterday we did the WOD. Kari got it in 5:20ish and I got it in a few seconds under 6 minutes but did stop to pose for a picture :-) On a side note we went to the Lovin' Spoonful downtown for lunch. It's a pretty cute place if you haven't been there. Today, I met two of the postal girls and worked on power cleans. I got a PR at 64 lbs and Kari got 54 lbs. Finally I bet my little sister! I feel good about my lift and hope this is a sign of more muscles to come.

FRAN with sister

Did Fran today: 21 lbs and jumping pull ups. Kari did the same. My time was 6:44 and Kari's was 5:something. Out done by my litle sister...too bad. Maybe a different story tomorrow. I enjoyed meeting Jen today and hope she comes back!

Push Jerk

Tried to max on push jerk today. I got up to 56 lb...pretty good for my small little arms. I tried for 61 lbs but got scared and almost dropped the weight on myself. Time to quit for the day. Looking forward to spending rest day with my sister in Nashville. I look forward to bringing her on Thursday to meet CROSSFIT.

Row Row Row Your Muscles

Today, I did the WOD (2K row in 10:46) and tried to get a new PR on shoulder press. My shoulders were smoked from earlier but I did match my previous record. Hopefullly next time. On another note I got to meet TM and her crew today. I saw Michelle's time for the Flithy 50. WOW!!!! And Jess I hope your knee gets to feeling better. Holy Cow those are some Filthy 50s...

We were so tired after today's workout and it took us so long we didn't make it to church. Hopefully, we'll be forgiven for the missed day. Jon and I are both smoked. I feel good for once not to be the only one who is really tired after the day's workout. I had trouble sleeping last night and was very apprehensive this morning. I ended up doing the stinkin 50's in 38:22 minutes and I was totally proud of myself. Here are the changes that were made for my workout: I used a 12" box, 16 lb KB, did knee ups instead of knees to elbows, 16 lb push press, thrusters with 5 lb dumbells instead of wallballs, horrible looking burpees minus the push up, and one hundred single jump ropes. But hey I still did it in 38:22. Here's to hoping tomorrow will be an easier day...

New Blogger on Board

Today is my first day of blogging (ever) and hope to use this to track my CROSSFIT progress. I have been doing CROSSFIT for maybe 3 weeks or so and I am incredibly sore. I feel good about all the work that I have done and am really enjoying the people I've met through Crossfit Clarksville (http://www.crossfitclarksville.com/).
