April: a Month of Rest

I miss working out. Never thought I'd say that, actually. **TMI warning** I had a 3rd degree laceration during delivery and I'm told that this will require more than 6 weeks of rest. Poo. Good news is that I'm starting to feel a lot better and have started talking short walks with the baby. I was thinking that I could probably start doing some arm exercises sitting down. Anyone have any other ideas?? I'll probably be coming to the gym with Jon at least once this week, just to watch and show off Maggie to anyone who's around. Miss catching up with you all.

We can't wait to meet Maggie! I'm glad your starting to feel better and able to go on walks. I would stick with walking at least for the first month. Maybe after that add some arm stuff or just hanging from the bar to get your "crossfit hands" back. I certainly wouldn't do anything like squatting until after your six week check up and see what the doc says. I'm already dreading the recovery period and that is a lifetime away for me. And i'm glad you miss working out :)

miss you too, Kristen and can't wait to meet the baby! like D said, I would take it easy and just stick to walking. I remember how funny walking felt to me at first, like my hips were out of whack! hang in there!
